In Vitro Genotoxicity Screening

Potential genotoxic carcinogens and/or mutagens adversely affect the genetic material (DNA) of cells, and ultimately may induce cancer and/or heritable defects. Genotoxicity tests are designed to detect drugs which can induce genetic damage directly or indirectly by various mechanisms of action. Genotoxicity testing of new chemicals is an critical part of the drug development process and is a regulatory requirement. Identification of genotoxicity at the earliest stage possible in drug discovery rather than during regulatory assessment reduces the possibility of late stage failures in New Drug Applications.

MB Research Laboratories offers genotoxicity/mutagenicity screening assays.
